Asyst Announces Availability of Webcast for Presentation
at Deutsche Bank Securities Investor Conference


FREMFREMONT, Calif.—May 6, 2003 — Asyst Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ASYT), a leading provider of integrated automation solutions that maximize semiconductor manufacturing productivity, today announced the availability of a webcast of the company’s presentation at Deutsche Bank Securities’ 2003 Semiconductor and Semiconductor Capital Equipment Conference, to be held at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, NV on May 13, 2003 at 4:00 p.m. PDT.

The webcast will be available to all interested parties through Asyst’s website, http://www.asyst.com. To access the simultaneous webcast, select the Investor Relations section from Asyst’s home page.
